In celebration of diverse communities and the diversity at the Universal Creighton Charter School, the students hosted their Multicultural Day 2017 on June 1.
Creighton scholars presented an array of musical and dance performances and other visual arts to promote diversity, cultural awareness, sharing traditions, understanding values and beliefs, gaining a sense of identity and recognizing the contributions of all ethnicities.
In their quest to learn about different cultures from around the world, the scholars have been researching information about many countries. These project-based activities examined customs, art, music, foods and unique lifestyles.
Universal Creighton is at 5401 Tabor Road in the Northeast’s Lawncrest section. The school serves about 800 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. ••
